ปูนสกิมโค้ท (Skim Coat) หรือ ปูนฉาบแต่งผิวบาง สำหรับตกแต่งผนังให้เรียบเนียน ในการใช้งานจะใช้ฉาบปิดผิวหลังจากที่ฉาบปูน 2 ชั้นตามปกติเรียบร้อยแล้ว ปูนสกิมโค้ทโดยทั่วไปเป็นปูนมอร์ตาร์ หรือปูนซีเมนต์สำเร็จรูปจึงสามารถผสมน้ำแล้วฉาบได้เลย โดยฉาบที่ความหนาประมาณ 0.5-3.0 มม. ปูนสกิมโค้ทจะมีทั้งชนิดที่ใช้สำหรับฉาบผนังให้เรียบเนียนขึ้นก่อนจะตกแต่งผิวขั้นสุดท้าย (เช่น ทาสี ติด วอลเปเปอร์) กับอีกชนิดหนึ่งคือใช้ฉาบแต่งผิวผนังเพื่อให้ได้ภาพลักษณ์สไตล์ปูนเปลือย มีหลายสีให้เลือกใช้ เช่น ขาว เทา ส้ม แดง เหลือง เขียว ฟ้า เป็นต้น นอกจากนี้ยังสามารถใช้เทคนิคพิเศษสร้างลูกเล่นเป็นลวดลายหรือพื้นผิวแบบต่างๆ ได้
ปูนฉาบสีเท็กซ์เจอร์ (Color Skim Coat) เป็นปูนฉาบตกแต่งปิดผิวเช่นเดียวกับปูนสกิมโค้ท แต่ต่างกันที่สามารถฉาบตกแต่งให้เกิดลวดลายต่าง ๆ ได้ ขึ้นอยู่กับจินตนาการ เทคนิค และความชำนาญของช่าง เช่น ลายริ้วหิน ลายสายฝน ลายหยดน้ำ ลายอิฐ
Terrazzo (เทอร์ราซโซ) หรืองานหินขัด มีส่วนประกอบของซีเมนต์ขาว เกล็ดหินขนาดต่างๆ และสีผสมซีเมนต์ (ชนิดฝุ่น) นอกจากนี้ยังสามารถผสมวัสดุอื่น ๆ เช่น เปลือกหอย เศษกระจก เรซิ่น ฯลฯ เพื่อเพิ่มเอกลักษณ์และสร้างสรรค์รูปแบบที่หลากหลาย ทั้งนี้ นอกจากงาน Terrazzo แล้ว ยังมีงานหินขัดอีกประเภทคือ งาน Finazzo ซึ่งจัดเป็นงานหินขัดมวลละเอียดที่ใช้หินเกล็ดขนาดเล็กพิเศษ หรือผสมแคลไซด์แทนการใช้ทราย เพื่อให้ได้พื้นผิวสีขาวนวลตากว่าปกติ และยังทำให้เกิดประกายระยิบระยับในเนื้องานด้วย พื้นผิวของ Terrazzo และ Finazzo จะเรียบเนียน เหมาะกับงานภายในบ้าน/อาคาร
หินล้างและกรวดล้าง ส่วนผสมที่ใช้คือปูนซีเมนต์ขาว เกล็ดหินขนาดต่างๆ และสีผสมซีเมนต์ (ชนิดฝุ่น) เช่นเดียวกับงาน Terrazzo หากแต่ขั้นตอนจะแตกต่างกัน โดยหลังจากปาดเกลี่ยให้ได้ระดับตามต้องการแล้ว พรมน้ำสะอาดให้ชุ่ม จะใช้กรดเกลือผสมกับน้ำสะอาดมาล้างคราบปูนทั่วผิวหน้าจนเห็นเป็นเม็ดหิน ล้างด้วยน้ำสะอาดอีกครั้งและทิ้งไว้ให้แห้ง จึงเคลือบผิวด้วยน้ำยาเคลือบเป็นขั้นตอนสุดท้ายเพื่อป้องกันสิ่งสกปรกเข้าไปฝัง พื้นผิวที่ได้จะหยาบ ขรุขระ ตามชนิดและขนาดของหินกรวดที่เลือกใช้
